Shoot! I could have sold you my old house in Windsor.
It was on the west side so easy access to Healdsburg.
I grew up in Sebastopol, and pretty much lived there all my life. Save my 1 year stint as a nanny in NY.
I guess I took the area for granted, but I just didn't care for the weather. Some call it "mild", I call it COLD!!
It's also very expensive, and the traffic is hell. Spend some time on the only artery in the area- the 101 and you'll soon see what I mean.
yeah it's nice, but there are some pretty hefty strings too!

Yeah, I know what you mean about the 'strings'; its the same in most nice places... I guess you just have to choose the 'strings' that you are willing to live with
Santa Cruz is pretty much the same as far as the one main road (Hwy 1) so I know exactly what you're talking about on 101! ... although I was planning on hitting the lotto first so I never had to be on 101 during commute hours 
It is very beautiful up there though
