Nice one. Look who was paying attention to TE instead of her meeting....

Hey, that was at 5:43 MO-land time. It was after the meeting and before the Bass Pro Shop field trip.

MP - I meant to tell you - I had a bottle of the Rafanelli Terrace Select last week with a friend (1997!) and it was wonderful!

Oh, it was such a treat! I forgot I had it in one of my my special wine boxes! Good thing it was a good friend, because that's not a wine for any old person!

Last year I was truly nervous about trying the Seattle to Portland ride with Chris on our tandem--had NO clue at all whether I could manage it (he did it on his own the year before). We did, and I damn near cried when we got there.
So what did we talk about all the way home from Portland that night on the bus? What would we have to do to do it in one day this year (what kind of training, what equipment we took that we didn't need, how much faster would we need to get, etc.)? Why? Because when we stopped the first night at mile 126 of 206, I could've gone another hour or so, AND it was such a drag to get up at 6 the next morning and know we had another 80 miles to go.
Anyway, bibble babble here. What I mean to say is: if we were doing it again in two days this year, I'd be downright blase (or almost, anyway). After all this training, I KNOW I could do it in two days. But because we're going for one day, I am--what else?!!--nervous as hell. Sheesh. Apparently I'm not going for the serenity prize this year. Om...om...om...
I know that you TD guys totally get this because you all do the same thing.
PS Please shoot the tranquilizer darts in this direction.
