They're just teasing us that it's the last page. It's never the last page at HSAI!

Nanci, congrats on the smilies! What do you think the problem was?

I challenge you to watch Peter Reid dominate at Kona and then call him turkey neck!

Brina, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Tell us about your upcoming tri! What's the event (Danskin?), how're you feeling, the exact layout of your transition area, ya know, just every little detail...

I went for a run this morning--doing better, but not yet where I want to be. I guess that's why they call it "training", eh?

Today I'm riding down to Lake Michigan and swimming in the wetsuit. I realized I was feeling like an imposter, not a real triathlete, not "deserving" of a wet suit. As if the "real" triathletes would laugh at me...well, they may. But I still would benefit from swim training in my wet suit.

fish--what a drag about the tires. What's up with that? Three new tires blew in sucession? ARGH!

Weird...the weather report says "winds: CALM" for where we are riding today.

    Calm winds? What are those?

maybe the winds had some tea? I'm nearby in Hayward, waiting for Spazzdog and Duck on Wheels to find my lair. The winds are calm.

    Good morning, TD gang.

Knotted--yeah, that was a toy puffer fish you saw on the tandem rack. Boy, you have good eyes! BUT the puffer fish has just been retired for a fire-spitting Gamera instead: Guardian of the Earth and Protector of Children, our favorite Japanese movie monster. What could be better than a flying turtle that spins in the air and shoots out fire? Wish I could do that! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamera

N--hearing you laughing in the snake video was just hilarious while Cathy was trying to talk to you in a sober, responsible fashion. Your snake reminded me of a scorpion we met up with while we were rock hunting in high desert Oregon. Chris was poking into a cliff face with a chisel, and out came a scorpion. All it did was climb up the cliff about six inches, and curl its tail around itself, trying to hide. I think it just wanted to finish its nap, which seemed like such a reasonable approach to life. Also, I can't believe you actually had to rip up that carpet! You really DID flood the bathroom doing the Reid google thing.

Lise--Go girl in that wetsuit. Let us know how it was!

I am at traffic school right now. Did you know you can pay the citation on line? Cool. Four more hours...

I had a great ride today.

During Traffic School so far I have bought three cycling books: French Revolutions, 23 Days In July, and The Rider. I looked at two Pantani books, but couldn't pick.

I'm getting tired of sitting here...

What kind of dog, Snap? I've always had relatively small breeds- pugs, frenchies (gag), coonhounds. English and American Cocker Spaniels. Dachshunds. A rottie.
