(who knows if they flood or not? or does the sandy soil drain well enough? certainly Mother Nature must have provided a means of survival in burrows in the rain in Florida!)

like, as BF so descriptively put it, a West Virginia coal miner!! Saw him rapidly disappearing when I got home this afternoon.

Yay! We tend to worry about him, not like he's a wild animal with a life of his own or anything.

MP is more of the breathless type. Kind of like Marilyn Monroe without the ditzy persona, cuckoo but not ditzy.

Lizard time means it summer and time to lounge in the sun, warm the old bones. Peppermint Mocha season has passsed and we're on to iced lattes. Though Peet's now makes Freddos with Scharfen Berger so I need to go try one and then change the sig line.

Okay, Nanci - in a coincidence, DH and I watched that Sarah JP movie (I actually really can't stand her) because we wanted something light to watch after our "experience" (and the last thing we watched from On Demand was The Constant Gardener and that was TOTALLY not light).

So my throat clearing is very different from hers. Hers is compulsive in a prissy school-marmy way, with the sound never coming from anywhere but her throat.

Mine is different - think tuberculin ward. Mine actually resonates throughout my chest and lungs (especially in the morning when my lungs are really full of fluid). The fluid-y lungs have always been there - worse recently. I generally inhale a bunch of air to get "behind" the fluid before I do the throat clearing. So not prissy - gross!

Just found out the cert (list of quality candidates) was delivered to the research leader that is doing the hiring, by our Area Director. Sooooooo hopefully I'll hopefully hear something within a week or so about an interview. Aargh. Now I'm really going to jump when I hear the phone ring.
