    Tater - I'm jealous!

I'm working at home today - I'll ask him tomorrow and get back to you.

SKnot had to help me with the avatar. One of these days I'll learn how to do this stuff. It seems awfully out of focus once it got shrank to 100x100, but I guess that's how it goes.

That's my Terry Commuter Skort, which is almost too big now. I loooooove that skort. Will have to get a smaller one when they go on sale, as long as I can find another hallucinogenic print.

The picture was taken this weekend, before I got the Brooks saddle. Not that you can see the saddle, anyway. I'm pretty impressed by how unobtrusive the black springs are on the Brooks.

Seattle's smog is so bad right now (and it's SO HOT) that the busses are free. I'm gonna ride my bike to work and take back my library books this morning. Gotta use both panniers just to carry all the books.

It is positively gorgeous here today! It's around 85F, sunny, breezy with relatively low humidity. It's weird, but wonderful! I've been sitting outside doing my work work this afternoon! Quitting time is at 3pm for me today - then I go ride. I was going to ride this morning was too tired and had a headache...going to ride at lunch and felt just bleh...planning to ride at 3pm. It would be such a waste NOT to ride today!

Okay ...well... uh...I went back outside and my shade crept away and the sun felt like it was melting my skin off (typical for here). Then my peanut butter and honey sandwich from lunch started feeling like it wanted to make a reappearance. I might have to hold off on the ride. This is very frustrating! I WANT to ride, but my body doesn't seem to want to let me. Aargh!

Ah, my icthyophilic friend, some days are just like that. You'll be flying again soon. Maybe a cool morning ride, when Mr. Fish can watch the minnows. L.

    Lise

Do you know anyone using a Mirena? I feel the need for change, but not a permanent one yet. (But at 47, almost 48- why not? But as my NP says, well, you're not jumping up for joy at the thought of tubal ligation...)

My $45 Sierra Trading Post Insport shorts got here. Predictably, I hate them. Chamois is too mushy, and bulges out through the shorts, especially in front, giving me duckbill coochie, plus, they go up so high, the rise, that they could be maternity shorts.

So to console myself, after consultation with the company about this or the Adamo, I ordered this, from triathlete.com, knocking the price down from $99 to $59 ($5 shipping!!) using the secret code tcom2005.

I ordered the Blackwell Flow. Had seriously considered the Adamo, which caught my attention on two girls' bikes at the last 200k. I got to ride it in the parking lot- it was weird but different but good but???

    E-mail from the company guy:

"Thanks for your inquiry, Nanci. The Adamo is a great seat and we've
been selling tons since March (when it was available). We do have a few
women that ride it, but it was designed for a male and most ladies do
not care for the seat. The Flow however remains our best selling
saddle. We've had it on the market for about 5 years now and sell
several per week. That's my recommendation, especially for women.

Please let me know if you have any further questions."

    So anyway...

Nanci - Looks encouraging that "everyone that has tried the saddle likes it". Too bad about the shorts.

Lise - I'm feeling a tad bit better as the night goes on. Maybe tomorrow Our temps are heading back into the 90's. Alas - today was lost, but there's always tomorrow.
