I think I may have done 2-3 rides today.
Started out with a Flat. Drat! fixed it and made it to to the meeting place for the 7am ride. A new woman had decided that she wanted to do the longer ride, I thought about talking her out of, since it was mostly the hammerheads. I took my group out to a breakfast place in Upland. we soon got a call on the cell phone form the "Hammerheads" asking if we could pick up the new woman. I changed my route a little bit, and soon had two extra riders to look after. One of the guys had crashed last week , and decided to hang with us. We soon made to the restaurant. This place is famous locally for having a section where you can bring in your dog to dine with you. We wound up in the doggy section ,largely to watch our bikes. I left my riders to go to church. After church , I decided to swing by a LBS to get a new tube. no 700X25 long stem prestas! Grrrr... wound up going to REI. They had them in sock. The local REI is not in a very bike accessible place. Wound up doing some extra mile , both for fun, and to make going home easier. Made it up a hill in my medium chaingring that I had to use my granny gear for before. was going to some mountain biking , but the heat and a sinus infection have put the kibosh on those plans. Otherwise, A great day on the bike
