Did a 15.2 mile loop early this morning before the "flood watch" rains begin. Since it's now 12:40 and it isn't raining yet, I guess tonight will be a downpour. I started going up a long, but not too steep hill, with 2 more rollers in between the flats and the steep climb back to my house. It was only 67 degrees out, but about 100% humidity. I _finally_ got the new computer on my new bike fixed yesterday, so at least that wasn't frustrating. On Friday, I did a group ride and the computer recorded 5 of the 21 miles!
About 11-12 miles into the ride, my husband decided to try and catch a woman who was quite a distance ahead of us. I think she must have been going a steady 16-17 mph, but I was able to "close the gap."When I looked down as I passed her, I was going 24. Thankfully, it was a flat...
Tonight my "cycling boy" from Berlin is coming for a visit and to race in the Fitchburg Longsjo Classic next week. Well, he's not really my son, but he was our exchange student a few years ago when my son was racing. He's a pro now. I am very excited!
