    Sadiekate, you have MS?
One of our very dear friends got diagnosed with ms about 5 years ago. he is a avid rider. He seems to be progressing slow, which is good. He is the reason we got into biking and love him dearly for introducing us to such a wonderful sport. He has been trying to talk us into going on this bike trip with him for years now. We finally said yes this year. We figured life is to short to not step out your front door and experience life like he does. Some day he will be in a wheel chair, which hurts my heart but he is not going down till he absolutly can't do it any more. I am sorry for your illness but it is awsome that you keep moving forward. You will be in my thoughts when we are on this trip with our friend!
Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Brandi, MS takes many, many forms and faces. It affects each of us differently and, while I don't know about your friend, there is no guarantee that a wheelchair will ever be necessary. Don't worry about the future for him. He's doing that all on his own. Just be there for the times when he may need help during a flare (which may be frequently or hardly ever) and buy him a jersey!

Check out this bike team. Two members have MS. Biogen Idec manufactuers Avonex, one of the MS therapies.

Thanks Sadiekate! He is an awsome friend! And we do support him as much as we can. He was an eye surgeon and had to quite after just 8 years in the field. He now has a hotel in Crested Bute. It was a smart move on he's part. He's kids have a harder time with the MS more the he does. He's boys were 9, 11 and 13 when he found out. A bummer for sure sence jim was only 43 when he found out he had it. But he didn't let it stop him moving forward. He doesn't really have flare ups like some. He is just slowly lossing control of he's legs. But he swears cycling keeps him strong and may be the reason he can still walk. If i may ask? What is yours like? I went as far as to read a story about a guy who has MS and it really helped me understand it for him.

When's the deadline? I've got medical bills that I haven't got refunded yet, but if I get a good settlement offer tomorrow from the car accident, then a jersey, vest and armwarmers are on my list. Especialleeeee if I get that candy red Trek 7.6 Already have the helmet to match. Hmmm... Would all that matching red be over-the-top for a Fredwina Athena like m'self? Don't wanna tip over into that overdressed category (forget what it's called, not wannabe but same meaning).
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.

Because I'll feel guilty. I must have been a Catholic in a previous life.

    Size quandry

I am between a med and a small. Hmm. I have med Pearl Izumi jerseys and others in small. I guess I should get the medium. I am 5'2" 116 lbs and about a 34C. Does a medium sound right for the sleveless women's racing jersey?

Hmmm. I'll have to sit down and have a heart to heart with my credit card. Very much doubt I can afford a jersey, but I may be able to spring for some armwarmers... Socks I could definitely afford. Not buying a dozen pairs though.
