I am not mechanical at all. Putting my new Cycleops indoor bike trainer together (Happy Hannukah to meeeee) is a challenge. But so cool to have one again. This will allow me a bit of a work out.

Knott will be starting chemo soon and I’ll want to stay nearby.

Yeah, my indoor trainer is something I love to hate, but it sure does have a place in my biking. My Cycleops allowed me to stay in condition while recovering from my accident, last summer. Only biking I could do (with the doc's permission) for almost two months while I recovered. When I did get to ride, again, my trainer workouts allowed me to get back to peak riding shape much faster than I would have without it. Nice option to have, too, when temps get below zero.

Days are getting shorter, trails are icy ... it’ll be good to be inside and keep me near the patient.

Now to figure out if I have all the parts.

With January-like temps already here, I'll be getting my indoor trainer out of storage soon instead of waiting until January like I usually do. I just have to motivate myself to ride it...

I hope the chemo goes well!

Thanks. Gosh us too. We’re hoping they choose to use immunotherapy. Since her oncologist is one of the leading researchers in that field could be. We’ll know more today.

Back to biking; it’s very cold and icy outdoors. In the past I watched football on the trainer; moderate fast pace during the game, stand or sprint through ads. It’s surprising how many ads and how much of the programming is advertising.

So this works pretty well as HIT. Problem is we don’t have a TV. We stream everything.

So far I’m listening to podcasts but they don’t have the same functionality of the ad break. I might try a service like Rouvy, a Spotify list or streaming a game.
