I'm a Taurus, cusp of Gemini.

Stubborn, grounded, earthy, practical, but with a romantic side. And then there's the Gemini stuff...

I have a commuter-mobile, but want a Volae/Bruchetta recumbent and a Soma DoubleCross. And an Xtracycle. And a Bikesatwork trailer. I want to use my bike for everything, but am deeply in love with my (3rd) Subaru. I'm just waiting for diesel Subis, so I can run biodiesel. (my sister in law gets 54 mpg biodiesel in her UNMODIFIED diesel Jetta.)

My s.o. is a Scorpio. Dear lord, let's not go there....

sorry, I am a cancer as well, and I don't carry nearly a survival kit in my purse - cell phone, lipstick, and lots of old receipts.

Aries here. Headstrong, agressive, selfish, energetic, and always looking to jump into new things.

Guess thats why I jumped right into cycling. Got me a road bike, got clipless pedals right away, joined a riding group right away.... didn't really give myself any time to 'acclimate' or think whether I'd like it or not. I told myself I'd like cycling, and I did.

MP you're ten days older than me. I've never given much thought to my astrological sign.

I figured we did these just 'cause we're nuts and like a challenge.

Yipeee, I'm the first Aquarian to post. I have the yin and yang of bikes. (Big red) Fred is a Redline Cyclocross and Felicia Golightly is a dainty Trek 1500 WSD.

Fred is particularly happy; recently I picked a bunch of sand out of his bottom bracket, oiled his brake cables and bought him a pair of shiny red Ortlieb panniers. He purrrred home yesterday from work.

Felicia is pining after the Brooks saddle I promised her.

Some people's bikes, can't just fix up one.....

Another Aries here. Although I've never thought of myself as headstrong, agressive, selfish, energetic, and always looking to jump into new things. I'm somewhat cautious really.

My best friend who knows quite a bit about Astrology says I'm the most low key Aries she's ever met. That could be the Libra Moon, Leo Rising and Venus in Taurus? I think I can be very focused and driven.

Oh, and I think in Chinese horoscope I'm a monkey? 1956?

Road Bike-Mondonico Futura Legero Campy Record etc blah blah...custom color, custom frame.

Commuter-GT Outpost Trail before they got suspension, upgraded to clipless and slicks so far. Stay tuned.

    Chinese Horoscope

I think Lava is more like a Dog than a Scorpio...

Dogs are loyal, faithful and honest and always stick to their firm codes of ethics. However, this Sign has trouble trusting others. It's generally quite trustworthy itself -- except for the occasional "little white lies" the Dog tells in order to make things go more smoothly. The Dog makes a wonderful, discreet and loyal friend (despite any white lies) and is an excellent listener. This Sign tends to root for the underdog and its keen sense of right and wrong makes it duty-bound to the core. The Dog's mantra seems to be, Live right, look out for the little people and fight injustice whenever possible.

Wow! But of *course* she has a rack of names like a pedigreed dog, or a royal baby. She is, after all, a pedigreed bike, maybe even a princess.

Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.

    Talking Zodiac sign??

Ummm.... very interesting. I am a scorpio, and have a few bikes. I have one custom bike, and am very loyal to it... always changing the color of the handlebar tape to match the tires( ti bike) HA! I am definitely one of those people that has a couple of nice bikes, which hopefully aren't out in the rain... butalso have a bike that is used for training on the trainer, rainey rides and everything else in between.

A fun article and thought provking!

Another Taurus here... my bike is a sparkly wineberry Gunnar Roadie, but my s.o. pretty much picked it out & bought it... He's a Leo & he has TWO beautiful handpainted Colnagos and a silver Gunnar...

Taurus here. Ride a Specialized Dulce, have a Raleigh hardtail mtb in the garage and am shopping for a cyclocross bike. Not so sure if my true Taruean nature of being stubborn and strong willed comes out in those choices...

I am a Scorpio and I have a Trek 5200, standard generic grey color. I bought it because I wanted a light bike with good components. I don't care about the color and I would never change it, or the tape. I had a yellow Cannondale R 600 before (my first road bike), which was bought with price and weight in mind. My mtb is a Norco full suspension, dark brown. I really love it, even though I don't mtb that often. We also have a hard tail yellow Voodoo-Hoodoo that I started riding on. Right now it is set up with dual pedals so guests and one of my sons can ride it. I am thinking of setting it up as a commuter/errand bike after next year when I quit teaching. I want to put panniers on it and ride like a little old lady into Concord Center to do errands!

Pisces here - two fish swimming in opposite directions!

MTB or road? Full-suss or hardtail? Can never make my mind up which bike I enjoy riding most or is it road/offroad? Its a shame you can only ride one bike at a time.

I'm a Gemini. And Yep, I have two bikes. But I really only ride my Orbea Aqua Dama with Campy everything. And unlike Dianyla's blue, mine is PINK and LOUD! Is that typical Gemini? Dunno, but it's me.
