Hmmm, I'm a Sagittarius and my bike is an Orbea Dama Race in blue. Sexy, but not gaudy.
ETA: Forgot to mention... I ran an old beater bike for years until I could get exactly what I wanted. No in-betweens for me.

..../another Libra. My Rivendell is quite balanced and I love its classical beauty.

Scorpio. Need more characters blah blah blah

I'm on the cusp of Scorpio, too, but I had my chart done when I was a baby (my hippie mom did) and it indicated that I'm firmly in Libra.

Here's what one site says about us:
Sagittarius About Your Sign...
Sagittarians have a positive outlook on life, are full of enterprise, energy, versatility, adventurousness and eagerness to extend experience beyond the physically familiar. They enjoy travelling and exploration, the more so because their minds are constantly open to new dimensions of thought. They are basically ambitious and optimistic, and continue to be so even when their hopes are dashed. Their strongly idealistic natures can also suffer many disappointments without being affected. They are honorable, honest, trustworthy, truthful, generous and sincere, with a passion for justice. They are usually on the side of the underdog in society they will fight for any cause they believe to be just, and are prepared to be rebellious. They balance loyalty with independence.
We enjoy travelling and exploration. I guess that explains all the double centuries!![]()

I'm a Taurus, cusp of Gemini.
Stubborn, grounded, earthy, practical, but with a romantic side. And then there's the Gemini stuff...
I have a commuter-mobile, but want a Volae/Bruchetta recumbent and a Soma DoubleCross. And an Xtracycle. And a Bikesatwork trailer. I want to use my bike for everything, but am deeply in love with my (3rd) Subaru. I'm just waiting for diesel Subis, so I can run biodiesel. (my sister in law gets 54 mpg biodiesel in her UNMODIFIED diesel Jetta.)
My s.o. is a Scorpio. Dear lord, let's not go there....

I think Lava is more like a Dog than a Scorpio...
Dogs are loyal, faithful and honest and always stick to their firm codes of ethics. However, this Sign has trouble trusting others. It's generally quite trustworthy itself -- except for the occasional "little white lies" the Dog tells in order to make things go more smoothly. The Dog makes a wonderful, discreet and loyal friend (despite any white lies) and is an excellent listener. This Sign tends to root for the underdog and its keen sense of right and wrong makes it duty-bound to the core. The Dog's mantra seems to be, Live right, look out for the little people and fight injustice whenever possible.

MP you're ten days older than me. I've never given much thought to my astrological sign.Originally Posted by maillotpois

Another Leo here... my really beautiful custom bike has yet to manifest itself!Originally Posted by Lise
I just have one bike - Specialized Sequoia Elite with the plain old paint job. But as of this week, every single component has now been swapped out (except for the FD, whose days are numbered!)
But I was born 2 months premature - so am I really a Leo?

Another Virgo here, but with Libra rising and my moon in Aries. My friends who are really into astrology could never guess I was a Virgo. Guess there really must be something to that rising sign and the moon after all...?
I have 3 bikes... a road bike - Giant OCR3, a mountain bike - Specialized Stumpjumper FSR, and a beater/commuter bike - Specialized HardRock. I guess my practical Virgo side as well as my need for balance Libra side goes for the idea that every bike has a specific purpose. With 3 bikes, I guess my impulsive Aries side thinks it makes sense too![]()
Ummm.... very interesting. I am a scorpio, and have a few bikes. I have one custom bike, and am very loyal to it... always changing the color of the handlebar tape to match the tires( ti bike) HA! I am definitely one of those people that has a couple of nice bikes, which hopefully aren't out in the rain... butalso have a bike that is used for training on the trainer, rainey rides and everything else in between.
A fun article and thought provking!
Another Taurus here... my bike is a sparkly wineberry Gunnar Roadie, but my s.o. pretty much picked it out & bought it... He's a Leo & he has TWO beautiful handpainted Colnagos and a silver Gunnar...![]()

Taurus here. Ride a Specialized Dulce, have a Raleigh hardtail mtb in the garage and am shopping for a cyclocross bike. Not so sure if my true Taruean nature of being stubborn and strong willed comes out in those choices...
