That's strangely comforting. I just didn't see how he could go down so hard on a relatively gentle downhill and curve. He had just done the big Palomares climb, though - he crashed several miles down the hill. I always feel like I'm about to have a heart attack on that climb.

I'm still re-thinking the whole "I want to die on my bike" (if I have to die at all) thing. Any death by bike is going to be bloody and ugly, and yes, quite traumatic for anyone who witnesses it.
