I read some things electronically and some real books... when I make time to read, which is not often enough. I subscribed to a newspaper last year, digital subscription plus Sunday dead-tree edition. I really didn't want the Sunday paper because my recycle pile is big enough already, but it was cheaper than digital only. I assume they make decent money from the Sunday ad supplements. Anyway I don't read most of it but do go though a couple of sections and the coupons, and I like having the crossword puzzles. Between the crosswords and crocheting I am spending less time staring at a tablet screen in the evenings.
I dunno, there aren't many independent bookstores in big cities with decent, diverse inventory of titles, these days.

Yes I found an independent bookstore in my area last year that was nice but small, so not really much of an inventory. But they were able to order the book I wanted.

(I was looking for an alternative to the large online store whose name begins with "A" when I found Indiebound -- http://www.indiebound.org/ -- and through them was able to find several independent bookstores in the DC metro area. I also discovered that Politics & Prose, a bookstore in DC, sells online. I've been trying to buy more from local businesses, and was very happy to have found Indiebound.)
