I'm dubious of the sizing on sweetspot skirts. One size fits 2-14.

If you watch the video on their site it's not as crazy as it sounds. The skirt fits on the hips, and it overlaps a LOT on the girls demonstrating the skirt, as in double material along the entire front half. They have snaps running along the top and recommend you use at least three.

Ah, that makes sense, lph. I didn't watch that as my budget doesn't allow for "frivolous" items at the moment. I just spent my recreational budget on two much-needed pairs of cycling shorts (from TE, of course!) instead. They sure are cute, though!

Have you ever worn one? I like the idea, but I've never worn anything that sits on the hips like that, and it seems like it could be crazy uncomfortable. But my old overskirt's elastic just gave up the ghost, so I need a new one. I don't wear them much of the time, but if I'm stopping for a real lunch stop I'll pull one on. (The skirt sports ones look like they might be a bit bulky, too, when not on me.)

Wish I were craftier; I'd make a retroreflective one. XD

No, I'd never seen them until now. They look supercute, though :-)

Zoic has some cute skirts. I just got one for like $29.00 on here not too long ago. They come with an attachable (via pieces of fabric) liner short. I wore one on a 30 mile ride once and it was great. They are a lot like the sweet spot skirts.

I haven't worn one of those, but I have a (non-wrap) skirt that sits on the hips and it's super flattering. Not uncomfortable at all. I can see where the snaps might be uncomfortable though, depending on exactly where they fell on your body.

I love a sarong for après ride when I can ditch the soggy jersey and bra as well as the shorts.

I have enough trouble with people giving me cr*p for bringing a change of clothes if we are going out after a ride. If I wore a sarong with my group (think MIT nerds) I'd never hear the end of it. On Saturday we are going to a ride and party for AMC leaders after the ride. You can be sure DH and I will be the only ones who change. These people must have superior bodies, because mine does not tolerate sitting in sweaty shorts.

I have a sweet spot skirt. I bought it at a Tri or a race a couple of years ago. Actually, I have two. One is the snap one and kind of a canvas material and the other one is a tech material and kind of 'fluttery' in styling. Both are great, but I prefer the fluttery one.

They do fit a wide range of sizes.

Here is a photo of me in the canvas one after a race (from a few years ago):
