I may be interested in the bento box and the triangle bag...I'm just not sure if the triangle bag will fit with a bottle cage on the seat tube since I have a small bike (49cm). (Not talking about the bike in my avatar; just picked up a road bike on Craigslist). What do you think?

Hi Jolt! Thanks for looking and for your interest. With a small frame, I don't think you could use a bottle cage in the seat tube, too. The sides that go against the frame are about 9". I can measure carefully tonight, but I think the bag would stand in the way of a bottle cage in the seat tube. The bike where I had this bag was a 54cm and I used it only with a bottle cage in the down tube at the time. I could take a picture of the bag on my 51cm current road bike, too.

Jolt: It won't fit with a bottle cage on the seat tube. The sides that go near the frame are 8.5 inches each to the point where the velcro is attached. You can see a picture of the bag on my 51 cm road bike (I did not attach the bottom part because the bottle cage is there):

Well, darn. Actually, I think I will just move the handlebar bag off the off road/around town bike (where it doesn't play well with the cantilever brakes--it rubs the cable and can make them drag a little) to the road bike where it will work better. How big is the bento box? Maybe that could replace the handlebar bag on the other bike.

The bento measures to 5" deep/long, 3.5" tall and 1 1/4" wide (I measured the panels up to the stitching). Here's the box in the REI site:

As I mentioned, I did not use it a single time

Well, I don't think that is quite what I was looking for after all, but thanks anyway. Hopefully someone else will be interested.

    Hi Crankin,

    It's an FSA Omega Compact:
    • 125mm drop
    • 80mm reach
    • 4 degrees outward bend

Here's the page on the FSA web site: http://www.fullspeedahead.com/produc...PACT-HANDLEBAR

The drop is perfect, but I need a shorter reach.
    Thanks, though.

Specialized has a bar with 123mm drop and 75mm reach (a version of which I had in a previous bike):

Other bars that I know about and you could consider are the 3T Ergonova (123/77 -- this is the one I use currently on my bikes), Ritchey Pro BioMax (130/75), and the Salsa Pro Road Small 2 (106/76).

Note to add: Zipp Service Course 70 Ergo or the SL 70 (128/70) and Dimension Flattop Shallow Reach (125/70).

Yes, I have the Specialized bar on my Kuota. I want to replace the fancy bar with too long of a drop and reach that got put on my custom bike.

pll -- I might be interested in the Bento box since Jolt doesn't want it. I think it would be a good way to carry my small digital camera while riding. It's a pain to have to fish it out of my seat bag. Do you think it would be reasonably easy to open, grab a camera out of while riding (in a no-traffic area, of course!) and replace the camera? I would love to be able to take the occasional photo "on the go".

    Also, do you take Paypal?

    Thanks!

Hi Emily! Yes, I take PayPal.

The closure is velcro, so, depending on the area (if it is not a bouncy one) you could leave the bento box open. It could work for a camera -- never tried it myself. PM me your address and I can mail it on Tuesday [tomorrow I am moving furniture/boxes and re-touching paint on my condo].

The bento box is gone. The other items are still available.
