The Cinderella ride up until last year, was open to all women who signed up and we also took registration the day of the event. We started at Dublin High School. But as usual, the neighbors complained about people parking in their spots and blocking their driveways, so we were not allowed to use the school anymore. Dublin Parks has gratiously agreed to host the Cinderella for the past two years, even though security is tight. But during this process, the CHP has limited the number of riders allowed on the road. That is why the ride fills up so quickly, because of the limitation imposed. It is so hard to work with the local communities these days to pull off rides and races.
You will also be required to wear a number this year, so that your number can be reported if you violate road regulations, etc. Neighbors along the route have been assured that they can report riders immediately - if the situation needs to be reported. So, you will be wearing a bracelet and also a number. Just a reminder, don't park on the base if you do not have a registration. Security will only let the women back onto the base that have their ID tags and numbers on. Having said all that! If you did not make the cut, your application was returned to you. Confirmation cards will be mailed on Monday. It takes quite a while to run labels, cut cards, and affix stickers to over 2000 entries, so bear with us - we just got it finished. I hope everyone has a great ride and we have good weather.
