    This. The doctor should definitely be able to tell you *something*. You want to rule out the other stuff (i.e., bacterial), and I would think a conversation with the doc would be appropriate about an estrogen supplement (whether otc or scrip).

    I had something like that about a year ago. My PCP misdiagnosed it as bacterial and gave me antibiotics - which made it MUCH worse. Went to my gyn and it was diagnosed as yeast but not something that monistat would help. Apparently there are different types of yeast infections down there. Anyway, I was prescribed something that helped within 24 hours. If you're still having problems, consult a doctor.
