Me too! at first I liked the idea and ease of the full zip, but it's less flattering when I'm riding, kinda bulges out. The partial zips look better on me.

And yes, sometimes the zippers DO bother me too. I'm like the princess and the pea when it comes to comfort.

I love 3/4-zips the best. Plenty of ventilation, but without the bulge of full-zips. I also have an annoying habit of completely unzipping full-zip jerseys to take them off, and I forget to zip them back up before I wash them, so I end up with this dripping wet thing that sticks to itself, and is hard to hang on the drying rack to boot.
At least I don't leave slime trails.

full zip jerseys are sort of a necessity around here in hot humid houston especially since I almost always wear a wicking underlayer which keeps the hot slimy jersey awa from my skin. A full zip means that I can still unzip 7/8 of the way to tae advantage or whatever air there is without flappin or being too exposed.

That tent effect only happens when the jersey has an elastic bottom, or the zipper is not stitched correctly into the jersey.

I just keep adding to my collection. I "allow" myself one new / full price jersey each spring as a birthday present to myself and then wait for end of the season clearance sales or specials to pick up others I like. I have been averaging 3 new each year. I had good intention of giving a few away this spring, but when I tried them on, I just could not do it. I do wish someone would design a jersey or base layer that would help hide my muffin top. I have struggled with my weight my whole life and do not see it going away anytime in this life time. Jerseys and those wicking fabrics do not do anything to hide pudge.
