Dear Assisted Living,
Due to your incompetent staff I get to spend the 3rd Friday in a row taking my Dad to the Wound Clinic. This is a minimum of a 3 hour trip. While I enjoy spending time with him this is not what I had in mind.
Once again, I will be working the weekend to make up for your inability to communicate.
On a positive note, I think I have found the perfect certified home to move him to. The owner has a striking resemblance to my Mom - I am taking that as a sign.Sky King

Well.... maybe it was a good thing I was still too sick to ride today with my group today. Apparently, just one block before getting back to the start, the lead rider hit a patch of rough pavement and went down hard, breaking both bones in her left forearm. She was transported by ambulance and had surgery this afternoon. Two other women went down hard enough to crack their helmets, at least one checked for a concussion.

You were lucky, AZ! Hope your friends are OK. Sometimes these types of things make me wonder about "fate."
My allergies have been horrible, too. I barely am over bronchitis after 6 weeks and now am back to taking Claritin daily and I started using Nasalchrom. It seems to get worse after I do outdoor exercise, which is not boding well for the riding season. There's still at least 6 inches of snow on the ground, so nothing is blooming yet. I don't even have any known pollen allergies, but I am definitely reacting to something.2015 Trek Silque SSL

Crankin, I think they will be okay. I know one went to the hospital and was released (no concussion), and the other was able to drive herself home and went to urgent care. I haven't heard back from her yet. I admit I was happy not to have to see the accident/aftermath.
