Batten down the hatches, it was reported on the news last night that this is going to be a horrible allergy season.

"Going to be"? Two shots a week, three pills a day, eyedrops morning and evening and I can pretty much get through most days...

I was hoping that since it was a less-mild winter than last year, that I might be able to function this year.
Time to experiment with different meds...

Well.... maybe it was a good thing I was still too sick to ride today with my group today. Apparently, just one block before getting back to the start, the lead rider hit a patch of rough pavement and went down hard, breaking both bones in her left forearm. She was transported by ambulance and had surgery this afternoon. Two other women went down hard enough to crack their helmets, at least one checked for a concussion.

Sorry to hear about all the allergy problems and more serious issues....

You were lucky, AZ! Hope your friends are OK. Sometimes these types of things make me wonder about "fate."
My allergies have been horrible, too. I barely am over bronchitis after 6 weeks and now am back to taking Claritin daily and I started using Nasalchrom. It seems to get worse after I do outdoor exercise, which is not boding well for the riding season. There's still at least 6 inches of snow on the ground, so nothing is blooming yet. I don't even have any known pollen allergies, but I am definitely reacting to something.

Crankin, I think they will be okay. I know one went to the hospital and was released (no concussion), and the other was able to drive herself home and went to urgent care. I haven't heard back from her yet. I admit I was happy not to have to see the accident/aftermath.

Dear Whomever is Building that Enormous F#@k^&g McMansion in the MIDDLE of the damn trail,
I hope you enjoy what is undoubtedly your second home so that you can escape whatever desert you live in and enjoy these lovely mountains. I also hope you realize that your absurdly large house is in the middle of some double track that has been used as trail access for generations. You are a selfish jerk.
    Sincerely,
