    Dear Cat
You are so strange. You go downstairs and howl, pathetic howling at best, and after 1 minute or so of howling , you come back upstairs. And as near I can tell you only do this once a day if you do it all. I wish you would tell me what your problem is because you sound so forlorn.

Dear cat. Yes, it's still winter. Actually, if you follow the old joke about seasons in Saskatchewan, it's Almost Winter. Winter is still to come, followed by Still Winter, followed by Road Repairs. No good going to both doors several times a day, it's still -20 ºC with snow everywhere. And you know how you hate to get your paws cold and wet.
Relax. It will be Road Repairs before you know it, and you can drag me all over the neighbourhood again.

    Aw :-)

We'ved had down to -15 C for almost two weeks now, and it has made it a lot easier having an outdoor cat in a new house. Not much need to worry about her getting lost... after three minutes her butt is cold and she's mewling to be let in again :-D

I almost went to Oslo last week for a long weekend (long story). I knew it would be chilly, and dark, and I guess it's best I didn't go. Someday...
(and congrats on the new house!)

Wow! But I think you can be glad you didn't. It was bitterly cold, and there was hardly any snow to lighten things up so it's like scurrying around inside a black plastic bag. (Now however, we have loads and loads of snow, and the temperature is above freezing so it's all soaking sopping wet. Woop-de-doo.)

Come in June and I'll show you around by bike :-)

Careful, I take people up on offers like that! I don't have any vacation time in June this year, though. One week in May and one in July. I'm still trying to arrange a trip to include Bergen as well. I even looked at a fjord cruise but there was no time in Oslo I haven't given up yet! Norway's been on my list for years.

Where are you flying from? Icelandair has some good fares. Turkish Air and Aeroflot have great fares, if you want to fly 5 hours out of your way (and if you want to fly on Turkish or Aeroflot ).

You're selling your Synapse? I just got mine in October and I'm having doubts about my choice. Mine's aluminum though. I put it on the trainer, hoping I'll get used to it. But that Surly Pacer is calling me.....
