    You people are fantastic. Again, in a weird way!

    I go off and watch Gilmore Girls and come back to all these measurements (earring to nose??) that I am even having trouble visualizing!!

    I hope we gave SK and her yardstick some fun activity to keep her off the ice cream...

    You can estimate fabric yardage. If you hold your arm straight out while holding the fabric between your thumb and pointer finger, and then measure to your nose (other hand holding with thumb and pointer) that's about a yard. My mom taught me that, and it's a habit. If I want to see about what a yard would be, fabric, string, anything, I do that automatically and get the weirdest looks.

    I didn't think my hands were particularly small... my pinkie is 1.875in and my middle finger is 2.75in.

    my bottom lip is 2.5in across when my mouth is closed.

    My big toe on my left foot is 1 and 3/4 inches. Without nail polish.
