And yes, as Supervisor of our Township this project was initiated by me, I helped to write the grants and basically drummed up a ton of community support by going on a tour touting this project, I pitched it to every group and club in our community and the project gathered steam and a lot of support. It's been a tremendous effort but I couldn't be happier.

I'm glad you have something positive to counter the frustration & boredom of recuperation. Sounds like this is going to be a high impact trail for a low cost. Our trail that we are hoping for ground breaking on, will be 0.6 miles initially but ultimately 5 miles. It will connect town to the lake--currently only accessible by 9 miles of highway. The lake already has a marina, a dining lodge, a beach, petroglyphs, and campgrounds. We consider this to have the potential for pretty big impact, but yours will have much greater impact and is 1/5 the length and probably doesn't have as many bridges as ours so it is a fraction of the cost.
