I wanna go for a ride so bad

Imagine this in a 4 year olds plantitive and sobbing wail and you've got about the right tone and pitch. Though I may not be really crying the spirit is so willing and the flesh is so not ready. If I wasn't very afraid of a tumble, the bumps and manuevering the handle bars I'd go. But that's out of the question. Oh, we are having a gorgeous Indian Summer day here in Michigan which is bringing all of this on. Temps soaring into the upper 70's and probably 80's tomorrow before the bottom drops out on Friday and the weekend. Someone, please (!) go for a ride for me today, please!

That plus the work on a non motorized path project that I have been pushing along broke ground on Monday for phase II. I snapped a few photos today.

Me too! I rode yesterday, the day before, and Sunday (albeit short) though, and I'm not sure my knee is up to 4 days in a row just yet. That, and I sort of forgot to eat anything today (too tired to eat breakfast, then got distracted by defrosting one of the lab freezers--it was so bad it required removing the ice with whatever tools we could find). I don't think riding like that is a good idea.

Maybe I'll go for a walk instead.
At least I don't leave slime trails.
