Hey Bike Momma- I was hoping you would pipe up! Good deal. That way we could actually meet each other!

Are you interested in doing Mines Road? It starts just outside of Livermore (you passed it on the Cindy ride). I don't know how far you are from Livermore, but it would be fun to do it with you. I'm also interested in doing the back side of Mt Hamilton. (this is all part of the DMD route that Veronica's doing). Let me know, and maybe some of us can take on the challenge!

So, y'all are planning on riding from Livermore to Monterey?

I'll echo Snapdragen -- are you talkin' about doing this with the Monterey loop? If so, that's a bit much fer this chickie. A separate ride, though, and you're on. I live about an hour and a half away from the Livermore area by car (Atwater, near Merced). Actually, I'm about an hour and a half from Monterey too -- just a different direction.

Looking forward to meeting and riding with you too, & others!

    Mines Road in the Spring

NO- I was thinkin' Mines road as a SEPARATE ride. I like long distances, but NOT that long!

I thought you might be interested. Maybe we can get a TE ride going. Would like to do this one in the spring months- I was up that way yesterday (in the pouriing down rain) with some other cyclists- the creeks are full and the ride should be stunning. Am waiting (as I'm sure you are) for the sun to come out!

    Thumbs up I'm in too

Its in the calendar. I'd be interested in doing a metric if that comes together too. See you all there!

Smile Can I get more info?

Hi! I'm pretty new here, but I was wondering if I could get some more info on this ride and possibly join you ladies? I'd like to know where you start, how far, difficulty, average speed, etc. Thanks!!

Thanks, SadieKate. That sounds like a great ride. I'm definitely interested. I'd planned a weekend in Santa Cruz with my 21 y.o. daughter for some time in July. I'm sure she'll be alright on her own for a few hours while I go for a ride. It's the 29th, right? I'm going to pencil in that date.

The 29th looks good for me too....I will ask my partner if she's interested in driving the designated SAG vehicle. I guess I should ask if you all want a SAG??? It's a Durango and has a bike rack that can hold 4 bikes, and if we need to throw a couple on top we can do that too....(we have done that... ) If so, we may come down Friday night, then leave Sat night. She has to work on Sunday....

Oh, and can I invite another friend??

    thanks gals....

Slug -- I'm glad you're coming. Bring anybody you want! I think it's going to be a great group! When we get closer to the date, I'll get a final count. I have two volunteers to help lead/herd/pace bikes. I might see if I can find a few more.

SAG would be great (but really boring for the SAG driver)! Maybe she could just hang around Monterey with copy of the map and a cell phone. She can spend the day just hanging around the Warf or Cannery Row. She can hang with the scuba divers or something! She could also drive along the 17-mile drive. It's really beautiful!

Casual rides like this don't usually have SAG, but you never know when you might need it. Bikerz blew a spoke on one of the Mt. Hamilton rides. We were lucky to have Ms. Snapdragen there to SAG.

Any idea what time the ride will start? I need to decide if I want to drive out the night before, or head out there that morning. It's a good 3 hour drive for me!

Indy, last year we started around 10:00, and that seemed to work for everyone. Lisa?
