That's too bad. I have one that is afraid in the car, so I have a 1 hr limit on how far I'll drive her. Does cut down the competition choices! She needs one more leg for a rally novice title, as does Tari. Obedience and other performance events with dogs are a great deal of fun, and the dogs just love it - all of it, even the obedience.

Don't wait! Jump bumps (large pvc pipes on the ground) with standards to safely start jump training. Contact work over boards painted yellow the last 3 feet, and wobble boards... make sure that it's a game, if it isn't fun, then it isn't worth doing.
    He's wonderful looking, BTW.

I have no idea what you mean by "with standards" or "contact over boards". BF and I have a teeter already for practice on the mountain bikes and some skinnies. I was goind to start him on those. He has already demonstrated that he can clear a 2.5 foot gate (he's only 15" at the shoulder), this makes it very difficult to contain him. I just love how athletic he is, even if it means that we have to be a little more diligent.

    Eee!

So, I'm getting a cat. DBF and I talked about it for a long time, and we decided that it would be better for my mental health to have a pet. Cat is a former lab cat (though she's had quite a bit of human contact). She's coming home next week. I'm excited and nervous.

Winding Road, beautiful kitty -- surely not too evil!

Owlie, good luck -- so exciting to add a new family member.

Wahine, Fosco looks like lots of energetic fun. And I love the name -- is there a story to go with it?

Lovelygamer, Skittles is gorgeous. Calico cats are great!

Choco is awesome! Everyone's pets are so cute - this is a great idea for a thread! I have three babies. I adopted Kramer (whom I've been told resembles a teddy bear) from Petco when he was just a wee babe, and I inherited my other two sweethearts (who are siblings), Lizzie and JoJo, when I married my husband. They all get along like most brothers and sisters do, in a love/hate sort of way - mostly love :-)

I just got my new Nikon D3100 and nikkor 35mm f/1.8 lens today so I've been experimenting! Man is it tough chasing around a pet with a fixed lens!

Oh, I love seeing all these animals! I want to share mine too....

My dogs, with the boyfriend, all curled up for some snuggle time:

On the left is Munin, a pit bull mix, and on the right is Madeleine, a chocolate labradoodle. She's mostly poodle, in personality and appearance.

And this is the apple of my eye, the cream in my coffee, the sun in my sky, my almost 19 year old persian Noire, who I love with all my heart:

And just because it's hilarious, here's another photo of Munin, the pit-mix. I freaking love this dog. She's pretty much the most ridiculous animal I've ever had.

Thanks for sharing all your animals! I love them all!

Reesha, those pics are great. How do you like your D3100? I have a D7000, and I'm debating selling it, and not sure what I want instead.

The D3100 is effortless and compact. I love it so far! I bought the body only refurbished on ebay for $350 and bought the Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 lens separately (also refurbished) for $180. Nice compact set up for my bike tour this summer!

You know... before I settled on it (I was choosing between a new d3100 and a used d90), I looked at lots of pictures on Flickr. There's a D3100 group!
