Hope you all have fun at the dinner. Maybe I'll see ya at the ride. I'm bringing three Cindy Virgins and we'll be at the start around 7:30-ish. I'll have my rainbow jacket on and orange wings on my camelbak.

I was cleaning some stuff out last night, and found the pink lei, Cindy route sheet, and my bib #.....that was nice....but I guess that means I'm a pack rat!!!

    see ya!

    Woot!

Ok. All packed up, maps to/from the restaurant saved. Map to Cindy start saved.

Now, all I have to do is print things out tomorrow, see everyone for dinner, pack the car with clothes and bike and I'm good to go. Everything is all set up here at home in a nice little corner. I've already gone over the essentials:

    Shoes.. check
    shorts (2).. check
    jersey (2).. check
    bra (2).. check
    socks (2).. check
    rain paints.. check
    light jacket.. check
    helmet.. check
    GU.. check
    water bottles.. check
tools, spare tubes (2), patch kit, tire irons.. check
    floor pump.. check
Cindy Reg card.. check (VERY IMPORTANT! heh)
    Glucose Meter.. check

Ok. So, did I miss anything? Now I just need to make sure I don't forget one of the bags.

    Shoes.. check
    shorts (2).. check
    jersey (2).. check
    bra (2).. check
    socks (2).. check
    rain paints.. check
    light jacket.. check
    helmet.. check
    GU.. check
    water bottles.. check

    Adding to the list....
Gloves (I'm wearing liners as well)
Gortex Jacket (if you have one- they work well in this kind of weather
Wool socks - also from REI- work great in the rain!
Shoe covers- if it's wet, they help keep your feet dry
Long pants (my winter riding pants that have that fuzzy lining)
Long sleeved wool top under long sleeve winter jersey (discovered these at REI in the skii section. Breathe well and keep me dry!)
    Sunglasses (just in case)
Camera- probably leave in car for pics later
Head covering- as in warm hat that goes over ears under helmet
Money for eating later on- the after ride food is okay, but I'd rather go out with you all!
    Smiles- our annual ride together!

If it's pouring rain this evening, Helga and I will probably NOT drive out to Livermore to join you all for dinner - it's a heckuva drive under ordinary Friday commute conditions from our end of Oakland, but toss the rain effect in, and we might be spending more time getting and returning than being there! Let's hope the weather cooperates tonight, and more importantly for all you riders, tomorrow!

Great pics, Dita! I think it was you I passed on Tesla, especially if you were wearing the same type of glasses. That'll teach me to be shy and unsure!!

Finding out earlier is better for me too. I'll be coming from the Apple campus in Cupertino so it's a bit of a drive.

Oh, for anyone who's interested, I have 5 burned copies of the ALC "7 Days to End AIDS" and 5 copies of "100% Woman" (about Michelle Dumaresq [Michelle on the TE boards]) with me too for those who don't get Logo as promised. I'll also have my notebook and blank DVDs if more copies are needed.

ride, I'm sorry you've had such a bad week. I hope your kids get better soon. Here's me crossing my fingers! We'll ride for you and I'll keep you and yours in my prayers.

What time was the reservation for? 6:30pm? Under what name? How many people were in the reservation?

I'd personally suggest to everyone that we don't change restaurants since everyone who was coming already planned and to try to make changes this last minute would probably just be bad news and we'd leave someone out. I'm even coming from Cupertino.

Unless I hear otherwise, I'll plan to try to be there at 6:30pm. I might be a little late depending on how bad traffic is.

    Mel
