I'd never heard of it until your post but I am going to try it out this morning on my ride!

My guy uses Endomondo all the time. But it talks out of his phone as we ride, which is weird.

My DH has been doing strava. It's good for me because he only sprints segments of our rides now, so I can sit back and relax the rest of the time!

The down side? He Wanted me to pick him up at Six Flags the other day, because there was a segment out there he needed to ride!

I love it - so much of my riding involves hills that the segments and hill climbs are very motivating. (Somehow all my QOMs are on descents, though. )

Is a great way to track and see how we stack with other female riders.

Thought I would bump this and see if anyone else is on Strava since this thread went around this summer. I really enjoy it for tracking progress in training.

I found it demoralizing so I stopped using it.

I don't need a program to reinforce the fact that I'm the Slowest. Person. Ever. up a particular climb ... I can pretty much figure that out on my own.

Strava's awesome. The only problem is that I'm the only female riding most of the climbs around here, so I'm always at the bottom. Oh well...still Queen of the mountains!

What I like is the ability to compare myself to.... myself. It's nice to see improvement or recognize that a ride was relaxed pace or I'm tired or whatever, so I didn't improve.

I agree, Strava is good progress tracking tool. I know that for our group it has being a great motivator and quite a few of our friends have really improved or ride more often after joining Strava

I recently downloaded the Strava run app for my iPhone. It's kind of cool to track my dog walk/runs on the trails here. Now I know my usual loop with the younger dog is 5.6 miles and takes an hour and 15 minutes! The older dog's "drag" by contrast is just over a mile and takes about 20 minutes. The older dog has a lot of pee breaks.

Is cool that you can see the difference between your two dogs I know that Strava allows you to track other sports and not just cycling or running. I enjoy following other riders but specially the girls, and almost everyday I see more females in the leader boards!

Well, one is 5 and the other is 11. They have to have separate walks because the older one just can't go as far or as fast as the other.

I hear you on the growth of Strava. It's becoming a lot harder to get QOMs!

Yes this Strava is thing is just getting harder and more competitive everyday I seems that any time I get a QOM, I loose one more! I am just happy to see that more women are joining and having fun with it.
