That's interesting though that she's only 10 and is already getting them off. My son will be nine on Monday and the dentist said we are still a few years away from the braces discussion... hmmm...
But yeah, I bet she's STOKED! Cool on her!!

Her teeth literally overlapped in front on top, so she needed the early intervention. She may need a second round of braces when more of her permanent teeth come in. But all of the front permanents are straight now! There are like 2 rounds of braces now for kids, so your son probably falls into the luckier category of being able to wait til he's got more of his permanent teeth in.

Fab that she has them off... like Running Mommy child, my son was much older before he even got them on - all his baby teeth had to be gone before he could have braces.
Nearly two years later and he was free of them - a year and a bit later, he still wears the retainer at night, but he remembers that himself... he's 17 this August.
I think it must be a wonderful feeling to be rid of them - I know its a great feeling to not have to be taking him for all those check-ups...
