My theme song for this years MS 150

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Sometimes I have entirely too much time on my hands...

Sing to the tune of the Rolling Stones version of “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg”

I know you wanna draft me,
But I refuse to go that slow
If I have to take the van in to the finish line,
Beer is waitin on me so I don't mind

Ain't too proud to SAG, sweet darlin
They can drive me in baby, come’on and go
Ain't to proud to Van it, baby, baby
I’ll just leave ya, I’m gonna go!

Now I heard a fast pace line,
a piranha pack comin up from behind
But you know I just lost all my will
When they blew by, sucked me back down the hill

Ain't too proud to SAG, sweet darlin
They can drive me in baby, come’on and go
Ain't to proud to Van it, baby, baby
I’ll just leave ya, I’m gonna go!

If I have to wear another teams jersey
just to keep my own from pointin and laughin at me
I will do that, even this I can stand
Cuz I wanna keep my butt comfy any way I can

Ain't too proud to SAG, sweet darlin
They can drive me in baby, come’on and go
Ain't to proud to Van it, baby, baby
I’ll just leave ya, I’m gonna go!

Now I've gotta hill so steep at the height of my route
And the wind is fillin me with doubt
If SAG’n keeps me from hurtin just a little too much
I'm not ashamed to wave down a ride, and jump on the bus

Ain't too proud to SAG, sweet darlin
They can drive me in baby, come’on and go
Ain't to proud to Van it, baby, baby
I’ll just leave ya, I’m gonna go!
The space and time for what you WANT is being occupied by what you have settled for

Hey Michelle! Happy to see you are making the MS150 again this year!

My boyfriend and I are doing it!

Love the song. And... I of course LOVE this:

Now I heard a fast pace line,
a piranha pack comin up from behind
But you know I just lost all my will
When they blew by, sucked me back down the hill

I know I will be SAGging again this year. Oh well, it's not about how far we go, but about how much we raise... right?

    *nods head*

    ... most excellent...

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".

Yes Karen - had to get your Pirahna pack in there!!!

Jerry is riding the MS150 with me this year as well - the fella has picked up speed, we really egg each other on now and our rides are starting to average high teens and seeing more low 20's! Can you BELIEVE it?

We got my mom and dad bikes for christmas - hybrids - they are like two little kids! They ride about 20 miles at a stretch already and my dad is already looking at a road bike. It's really something!

AND - if you havn't checked out www.bikedfw.org yet - go do it! Iv'e been up to a LOT these days! (Last name changed too btw if you are looking at the site and wondering)

Ladies night rides at WRL will start back up in few Thursdays - Im looking forward to those again.

55 days until I am done with school! W00T!!!!!

    We need to go ride!!!!!

Yea, Jonny is going to be my buddy for the ride. I have been training more than he has though, so he might bow out before I do. But, I haven't been training enough to make the entire 150 miles, I know that!

My average on the bike has really improved since training with my triathlon training group. Now days I can average 16-17.5 mph for 20-25 miles. Not great, but certainly better! I hope with my next 10 week tri training segment, I can hit around 18 mph average.

Thanks for sending the pictures of the parents on bikes. How cute! It is always great to see someone who is older get into fitness too!

Yep, I need to check out the website. Sorry for slacking on that!

Oh, and congrats on almost finishing school! That rocks! I started Grad school this semester. In 6 short years, I too will have a degree! HA!

    Take care... chat later!
