Well yeterday I went on my first 25 mile ride. I know for some of you this is no big. But it was for me. I did everything right and feel no pain today. I want to thank those of you who gave me info on how to train right. I think when my big trip comes around in sept I will be ready for it. If I can just keep doing this. Some times it is ard to find that much time to ride. Thanks again and te ride by the way is alot of steep hill climbing. I was able to talk while climbing the hill too. Not to myself but my riding buddy.

Good job Brandi! And yeah, 25 miles is quite an accomplishment! Esp. where you ride!! Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you pretty much ALWAYS have to deal w/ some sort of wind? And the CA coastline! puuullleeeze! Not flat thats for sure!!
    Good on you!!

Congrats on the increased distance!! Don't talk your accomplishment down, that's great!! I probably couldn't keep up, I'm spoiled with flat terrain here in MI...hills change everything.

Great job Brandi! I'm hoping to hit 25 miles this spring/summer - with no hills! You should be proud!

woooohooo job well done Brandi! 25 miles is quite a distance, don't knock it! As for the time, if possible, split your rides up over the day?? maybe you can't ride 25 all at once but you might be able to ride 12 miles n the morning, 12 in the evening, or 12 today, 12 tomorrow. Nice to hear you weren't sore either, that's a very good sign!
    Well Done!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

That's awesome, Brandi! I think I've done 25 miles once and it did seem long...but boy didn't it feel good! My usual rides are at 20miles right now, and like you I hope to be able to cruising at much more than that by the end of the summer... Congrats!
