Got my bike back!

Just want to share my good news. I got my Vita elite back--complete with new fork . We got a call from the bike shop today and I picked it up after work. I can't believe I was so happy to bring home something I already own. I knew the forks were coming through in both glossy black and Matte black finishes. I did not want the glossy, which would have looked awful on my matte purple frame, but they got the matte finish that I wanted. It looks a little different, but not bad--I can live with it. Now I just want to RIDE it. My riding this time of the year is basically limited to weekends, since it gets dark so early now, but maybe I can get home some night before it gets too dark, just so I can take a quick spin. Life is good! I will provide pictures as soon as I can take some (and I figure out how to post them).

Hurray! Congrats on getting your bike back, and with a safe new fork too. I have to say I love the sound of your purple bike. Here's hoping for some great weekend weather for you

Thanks everybody. No riding for me yet this week since I have been getting home from work too late. I can't stand it any longer--I am taking off early tomorrow afternoon so I can come home and go for a ride.

Get some lights!

Lights do probably need to be one of my next purchases--I have been acquiring gear slowly. I am not planning on riding at night, though. At least not at this stage. I just realized when I rode the other day how early, and how fast, it starts to get dark now. There was still plenty of light but the shadows were long and dark and I wasn't always so confident about my visibility. Lights would help.
