    Beer fest Thanksgiving weekend?

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Just posting a new thread here in case some don't see it in the the other thread. Thank you all for the credit for this by the way I hope it is as much fun as it seems like it shoud be. So my thought was maybe we should make all thanksgiving weekend. For those of you who don't partake in TG then this would be the 24th through the 27th. It's a extended global beer fest (or drink of your choice). Does that work? I will start the thread Thanksgiving morning and we will go from there.

Darn. I work that whole stretch (nights, sleep during the day) so I won't be able to lift a glass of beer with you all but I'll be sure to toast with my hot beverage of choice!

Perfect plan, and count me in!

Are we going to try and post a pic of us and/or our favorite brew?

All that matter's is at some point with good cheer and wishes in mind that you toast to whatever sings to your heart and share it with us!

Maybe a good reason to try something new and weird? Or a good reason to try to reacquaint myself with something stranger than my usual IPA, Shorts Anniversary Wheat Ale (blood orange wheat wine)

That sounds pretty good--I hope it's at least better than that atrocious key lime pie beer they made. *retch*

It's really beer, made by a very odd beer company in Michigan. If you are looking for the road less traveled, anything Short's from bad Axe makes is unusual.

Key Lime Pie beer? eeew. Now that does sound nasty, even to me, and I'm really weird.

It was weird...syrupy sweet and tasted like wet graham crackers. Nasty.

My current favorite is Widmer's seasonal ale - brrr But Rogue's garage sale starts Wednesday so am hoping the kids make a stop before we all connect in Seattle (weather permitting)

    Ewwwww Key lime beer! Yucky!
I am a fan of another beer called Xingu. It is a black beer from Brazil. I had it in a thai place in South Carolina back in Oct. Paid $5.00 a bottle! But got home and found it for $9.00 a six pack. Which is still up there but I am not having it all in one sitting. I will enjoy it over the next month. I am a slow drinker. lol I have to say I like pumpkin beer if it is done well.
