I don't normally buy much cycling stuff at REI. If I'm there and need lube or whatever, I'll pick it up, but I don't go there for that kind of stuff. We do a lot of hiking and backpacking and snow sports and that's usually what we spend our $$ on. I probably spent $100 on wax alone last year (and I buy the cheap wax)!

Incidentally, REI couldn't fulfill my car rack needs (not before our trip in April, anyhow) so I still haven't spent my dividend (oooops...sorry... OUR dividend ). I did get my rack stuff elsewhere but had to mix Yakima & Thule to get what we needed. What a pain. But we have it now and are good to go!
