What if you thread the jar back into it and use the jar for leverage?

Or put the blender on the lowest speed and pulse the motor very very briefly?


PS - do you LOVE your Zojirushi rice cooker as much as I love mine?

Tried the first and no joy...will try the latter.

edited: I tried the second suggestion, but this is a "smart" blender. If there is something wrong with how it is set up, it won't allow you to turn it on. *$&# blender is smarter than me at this point.

Is there anything you can grab onto either below the blade or near the edge with a pair of pliers, maybe?

Use a small piece of wood as a cushion/driver to tap the housing for the blade shaft with a soft hammer?
