David Millar (@millarmind) tweeted the following [asterisks added], which cracked me up:
50k to go THOR: How you feel? ME: F****d. You? THOR: My eyes hurt from trying to keep them open. Maybe we'll feel ok when we see 25k to go?

Gone but not forgotten:

Woke up this morning and the tv had died during the night!
The technician is coming tomorrow morning.
What synchronicity this happened on the Rest Day!
All you need is love...la-dee-da-dee-da...all you need is love!
Say what, Buckwheat? You changed your shoes while riding? I'm proud that I can drink a couple of sips and return my bottle to its cage. You's a beast, Belgian dude. You's a beast.
Thor Hushovd did this, too. He then carried water for his team:

An "ah" moment -- I was watching the Farrar interview in VeloNews and caught the attached image in the video: Thor and his daughter. Someone on the left is taking a picture.![]()
Oh wow! What a great stage! Hats off to the attacker (and followers) for making something happen.
Ozzy-yozzi-oz!

Total edge of my seat today!!! What great great fun....even better since I stopped by a little espresso & biscuit shop where I knew they'd be watching live, so a group of 6 of us watched and bonded over the excitement!
Sit bones = ~135 mm, saddles that work ~ 155cm/6.1 in wide

Major Schleck-choke.
I was rooting for Chris Horner going into the race, but since he's out, I'm hoping Cadel takes the whole shebang.
And I love it when Thor beats his chest as he crosses the line.

Just a couple of comments and a couple of unrelated links:
- Having Andy S whine after the stage today, not cool. He deserved this picture from L'Equipe (tweeted by @inrng):
- It has been nice to see Rigoberto Urán from Sky get the white jersey. He is a Colombian, from very humble origins who went pro at 17 to support his family (father was killed and RU sold lottery tickets for a while).
- A couple of fun videos from Norwegian TV -- how Thor Hushovd's win in stage 13 was narrated in his home country: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yD8uhX8Y_Q and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRuntkgfMyc
I'd like to see Evans and Sanchez in the final podium.

Contador made a great move, and then did it again, and again. He deserves much credit for upping the competition today. Evans was fantastic in responding, and Sanchez--go Sammy go!
Very true! I like how Contador rides and today's repeated attacks were great to see, but I'm still wondering about the clenbuterol thing. I guess one could argue it is not any worse the Frank Schleck being involved with Eufemiano Fuentes...
JJ Rojas was also great, trying to get into a break to score points in the sprint competition. That forced the pace in the first part of the race.
