I haven't bought a house in 10 years, so correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't a new bike be a perfect accessory to that new garage of yours?

It has a lovely 2-car garage which my DH and I agree will only be used for 1 car + the 11 bikes we have in the family now!
But none of them are Carbon.....mmmmmmm.... Carbon....
No! I must resist the collective force of you enablers manifesting a beautiful new Specialized Ruby in my Garage!

Those evil bike store guys. I casually asked how much a full carbon road bike might set me back, with 105 componentry. Ended up spending around NZ$1000 more than the first bike I looked at after I got shown a sexy sexy Giant with full Ultegra. Still love her though and don't regret buying her at all! Nothing like coming home with a grin on my face thinking "I love my bike".
Carbon is really sweet. I don't even care much about how light or stiff it might be over other materials. What I love is how it makes chip-sealed roads almost pleasant. Since that's what 80+% of our roads are...I *heart* me some carbon.![]()
