Beware though - if the urgent care is affiliated with a hospital (which in a lot of semi-rural areas, that's all there is), they will bill as the ER.

The problem around here is they are few and far between, and some won't take insurance these days...

Man, that's a bummer. We are very fortunate where we are.....plenty of them, and even the hospital-affiliated ones take our insurance.

I guess the moral of the story is that every plan is different, and caveat emptor!
