    Of course the fact that we have been married 36 years and moved 14 times, 6 of them international and or overseas so we were pretty streamlined when we arrived here five years ago, but it does take eternal vigilence and frequent "dog burning".

    burning the dogs is an (I think) scandanavian expression for burning bits and pieces of useless detritus- originally used in reference to weaving and fiber work, but also part of my yearly spring cleaning, clearing the house, cleanising operations.

    Ha, ha... I hear ya... that's one of the things the author talks about in his book. Now I can't quite look at stuff in the store the same. Actually, I've kinda stopped going so much. If I would just eat less while I'm at home, vs being out shopping, I'd have it made lol.
