That's just it -- I was never able to find work up there. Made some good friends, but I couldn't gain any traction in the professional community in Edmonton. No professional reciprocity between jurisdictions, combined with my sense that the local employers favored kids with certs from NAIT over an outsider with a master's degree. I would have been willing to suck it up and work for less, but I guess there's this perception that someone with an advanced degree should cost more. My talks with the companies I interviewed never even got that far.

Been meaning to PM you about some of those planning articles you linked a while back but have been busy with my move.
