Thrift shop score! I got a really fine, lightweight merino cardigan for $1.99. It should be a perfect layer for spring cycling when the temp drops after sunset.

Of course, this sweater cries out for pearls, so I might look ridiculous. I hope pairing it with my screaming yellow windbreaker will change the look somewhat.

I picked up at short-sleeved Smartwool jersey (Ewetopia, maybe, in chili pepper red?) for myself for Christmas and finally had the chance to wear it today - fantastic! Slightly looser than I usually go for but it was the perfect layer underneath a windbreaker. I didn't stink nearly as much as the rest of my group at the end of the ride.

And it looked awesome with the dark red trim on my bike.

Tried posting to this thread the other day but my reply was swallowed by the cosmos (or operator error).

To summarize, thanks for drawing my attention to wool for biking. You're right, wool is odor resistant. What's up with synthetics holding on to smells? Any way to get rid of lingering odors in synthetics?

Thought I'd try the thrift store route looking for merino for bilking but I found out sweater season is over here. Bummer. Did get 2 merino long sleeve base layer tops at Overstock.

There's still a black one if you want it as well

BleeckerSt_Girl, you might have better luck on ebay.

Thanks. I did sell the two Ibex Indie tops here to TE'ers (thanks you two!), and I'll leave the others up for another week or so. Then I'll Ebay them. I too suspect they might bring more on Ebay. I thought for sure the brown Shak set would sell more than anything else, but go figure!

Some suggestion on merino sport bra.

I searched about this and found two choices: Ibex or I/O Bio.

There's a thread a while ago, saying that I/O Bio bra is softer than Ibex.

Can someone comment about the sizing? I/O Bio bra's XS said 33, will it fit a 32? How about Ibex?

Ibex medium shorts needs new home...

One pair of Ibex cycling shorts is looking for a new home. They have moved from Redhodie to me, but sadly there is something about the pad that my body does NOT like - it itches (I did wash them several times)

These are nice shorts and they will be nice for early spring biking for someone; they would also be nice under tights. They are free for the asking, all I ask is postage reimbursement.
