I meant the fashion trend of wearing short mini-skirts or really short shorts with winter boots. I wasn't clear, I'm sorry. I have nothing against warm tootsies.
At the bike race on Sunday, I saw this young woman with a weather-appropriate tank top and ripped-hem denim miniskirt with bare legs and these big, funky winter boots on. It was 80 degrees outside! And I've been seeing that same trend a lot this past week. Or maybe I'm just now noticing it. It just looks incongruous to me, to be decked out for summer on top, and ready for winter on their feet. And they're not even fashionable boots a lot of the time. I just don't get the trend.
I also don't understand these boys who wear their jeans pulled down around their thighs with their underwear showing. I mean, really, what are they trying to say with that?
And the girls with the really short shorts who wear their zippers half-way down with short, cropped shirts.
Geez, I'm getting old. I sound like my mother.

I have, however, seen the thong "floss" that shows outside the top of jeans, which I guess is similar. Just don't get it!
