I do finally have a vest in screaming yellow from someone here at TE.
Just remember that purple, especially dark purple, isn't very high viz if you are riding on the road. Fine for trail and bike paths, but not so great for roads. Probably the only downside of a purple bike if you like to wear matching jerseys.

On the color wheel, isn't purple opposite yellow? That means that they look really nice together (complementary colors, as in a flower garden), so you might expand your wardrobe to include nice bright yellow jerseys, so you'll be seen. Maybe you could find some yellow/purple combo jerseys too?!

You can see from my avatar that I am the high-viz queen.

I have actually been thinking about this - I only want 1 or 2 darker purple jerseys at most. I didn't know that about yellow - I will keep that in mind. Yellow has never been one of my favorite colors, but visibility is too important to ignore. I think some white/purple would work. I will always wear blues regardless, and there are some pretty visible light blue jerseys out there.

My current SS jerseys (all 3 of them) are a bright pink, a light solid blue, and a blue/white combination.

I've have not been in the habit of using flashers on my bike on a sunny day, but that might be a good habit to change...
