My dad was a know it all, as well. I have to admit: he was very intelligent, had lots of good common sense, and 99% of the time, was right! And unfortunately, it's genetic (yes, I'm one as well, but I am aware of it and try to catch myself!!!).

alas, that is my dear SAG guy who will not only tell you all about it but will repeat himself a bit louder in case you didn't hear him the first time. We have all learned not to ask. As my mother used to say "you have to learn to think of them as endearing qualities, or kill him." Luckily for him he has many many other truly endearing qualities.

I tell my husband it would be much easier if he just realizes that I know everything and I am always right...(yes, I am one of those people too!)

I dearly miss the grey Lowe Mountain Cap I once got from work. Not for the cap which you can get anywhere, but for the little orange button I had bought and hidden underneath the brim:

"To save time, assume I know everything"

I used to kid that I would only fold down the brim in times of bad weather and dire need I never had too, but got a few laughs out of telling it.

eta: I LOVE this womans performance and stage presence! She's poised and clear, but is obviously having a great time too :-D
