I usually wear tights over - but that's because I always overdress and my speed and sweat-factor can vary so much over the course of a ride on the mountain bike. I've been known to stop at the bottom of a big hill and pull them off, only to put them back on at the summit for the ride down

I'd probably better off in leg warmers, wouldn't I?

My boyfriend layers them under, I think.

can be worn more than once w/o washing if its not wet and dirty out

can be taken off if the weather changes

Same here--tights over cycling shorts, so you can take them off if need be.

Wear them over, but I had some trouble doubling up. Any two layers rubbing can cause heat build up. and seat discomfort. I ended up dropping the bucks for the lined ones after a single season.

Thanks! I was thinking over shorts for the seams and over heating reason, but I've seen people wearing them as the first layer - not that I would notice if the shorts were under!

I wear unpadded tights OVER a regular pair of cycling shorts. The only problem I tend to have, is that the tights will sometimes slide down on me...which is usually a result of wearing 2 "slick" materials on top of each other. To solve this issue, I bought a pair of cheapo suspenders from the men's department at Walmart, and I use the suspenders to keep my tights from falling down. Works like a charm.
