Haven't seen any talk lately about who is going.

Can we organize a group kayak session Saturday morning?

Kmehrzad and I are driving down on Friday. I'd be up for kayaking on Saturday. Can't remember where we're staying...

I'm going Friday as well - so would like to paddle in the morning say around 10?

Victoria will be coming with me & will be paddling with you guys. I'm already supposed to meet some friends to paddle - so depending on when & where they're paddling, I may or may not be able to paddle with you guys on Sat morning.

Where are you guys planning to paddle? On the Transquaking again or in Blackwater?

I have no local knowledge to compare the 2 kayaking sites. Either works for me.

Does anyone have a suggestion to meet for dinner on Sat night? Preferably without SCREAMING children?

Kmehrzad and I will be paddling on Friday afternoon, weather permitting. I think we'll do the Transquaking, launching at 4900 Drawbridge Rd. This is where some of us paddled last year. If anyone wants to join us, speak up, and we can arrange a time to meet. We'll probably be getting to Cambridge around 1 or 1:30.

On Saturday, again weather permitting, we're paddling again. Do we want to meet at, say, 10 am?

We could either do the same Transquaking paddle on Saturday, or there are several options in the Blackwater Refuge. I'd rather not do the green trail due to the hunters they mention.

What about dinner Friday and/or Saturday nights? I may be stuck eating in my room since there's slim vegan pickins in Cambridge, but I'll go for the company.

victoria & I are maybe paddling with you & Kathy on Friday - it sounds like we're leaving an hour or so earlier than you guys and will get there faster. Do we want to make this a shuttled trip or?

Saturday I'm supposed to be paddling with some friends in Blackwater at 10 am. They're all going to be in 18 feet racing kayaks, so I don't think we can really combine the groups 'cause of the difference in speeds. I'll ask about what put in it is - but Victoria will be paddling with you guys - so if it's a different put in, I'll either get her to drop me off before meeting you guys or vice versa.

We may be able to get there sooner if my countertop people don't show up at the very end of the 8-10am appointment window.

How would a shuttled trip work? I don't know the area well enough to know where to leave the cars.

No worries,we'll take our time and stop for lattes and pictures.

I know you guys paid probably someone from Blackwater Pedal and Paddle for a shuttle last year.

It looks like there's a 5 mile loop that can be done on the transquaking using a canal dug for that purpose:

There's a 7 mile trip we could do using Bestpitch landing and Island creek landing-

We just did an out and back, no shuttle. Too complicated for me to figure out shuttle logistics.

Well I'm coming over Fri night after work but looking at the forecast, I'm still on the fence on whether I want to load up the kayak. One forecast said wind gusts to 45mph Fri-Sat! Yikes. I'll have to decide soon I guess.

Plan B for Saturday is to go wander up/down Wildlife drive with binoculars and camera. Oh. and shopping
