    The bird's eye view of where we were yesterday is very cool. I thought for sure the trail would lead out.

    My kayak is a Wilderness Systems Rascal, 9 ft. about 40 something lbs. I think WS stopped making them, although I don't know why. The Rascal tracks well, easy to maneuver, is extremely stable and has seen some whitewater with no problem.

    So it's classified as recreational or is it 'light touring'.

    Not sure if I'll be getting another this year. I'm pondering a new camera.

    The Rascal has to be recreational. It's certainly not as lightweight as DivingBiker's kayak, if you've ever lifted hers. I've been able to pick up the Rascal and carry it on my shoulder but lifting it onto and off of my car's rooftop carrier is tricky. Sliding it into a van would be MUCH easier.
