No such luck. I need to shave before riding, as a comfort thing. The hair is thick enough that it works its way into the fabric and gets tugged. (Yes, it grows that quickly.) Nightly shaving for me, I'm afraid.
At least I don't leave slime trails.

I have real hairy legs, and I am dark-haired so the hair will show quite visibly. I get my legs waxed about every 5-6 weeks, so I don't have to shave them at all. I like to wear shorts and capris during the warm weather months when I am off the bike, and it is nice just being able to put on my clothing and not worry about my legs. It is also makes it easier to travel. I know some cyclists who got their hair removed permanently with the laser treatments.

I don't like being hairy... thankfully, my body hair is blonde. I generally shave every other day, sometimes every 2 days. I have a really good razor and it takes me about a minute or two. And I shave to the middle of my thigh (wear a lot of shorter skirts and capris).
However, in the past year, I have noticed hair growing in places it shouldn't be, like my face. Again, thankfully, I am blonde. I cut or tweeze the hairy lip every so often, but I have been thinking of getting that waxed, since it lasts a long time.

    Talking

Well girls, something weird happened, I came out of hospital after my accident, and realised that I had no underarm hair, 6 months later still not grown!

Brilliant, one less thing to worry about, OK, two seeing as I have two arms.

For the people who might be growing coarse hair unexpectedly, like on the face, Dr. Oz did a segment about it on one of his shows this week. I believe he said there are three causes: 1)insulin resistance, 2)hormone imbalance or 3)genetics. He said for females who have coarse hair popping out in unusual places, like on the chin or back, to see a doctor. If the hair growth is caused by insulin resistance, it might mean you are diabetic or pre-diabetic or your diet is too high-glycemic or you are carrying too much fat around the middle. If it is a hormone imbalance it might be a symptom that you have ovarian cysts or a similar problem. You want the doctor to say it is genetics, hopefully. I got the impression, though, that the primary reason is that the female is diabetic or verging on being diabetic.

Eh, menopause. If I let my eyebrows grow there wouldn't be a distinction between them and my eyelashes ...

No rogue hairs on the chin or back... I am 15-18% body fat and eat a low GI diet, so I don't think that's the reason for my increase in facial hair. It's not coarse, but rather like newborn's hair. Not noticeable, except to me.
I remember my mom bleaching her upper lip area. I can't bring myself to do that, but since I'm blonde, it's not as bad. Hence, the thought of waxing.

I feel like a real hippie now. My legs and arms are au naturel. My boyfriend is actually the one who questioned why I shaved in the first place, but he's been a strident feminist longer than I have

I hear you, Oak! It's awful, isn't it? I have a couple of eyebrow hairs that started growing very long just like eyelashes that I have to keep trimmed. And it seems they will grow overnight! Then there are the chin whiskers and upper lip issues and I don't want to talk about nasal hair

No wonder I don't shave my legs as much any more---I'm too busy working on my face
