Which part do YOU think??![]()
My knees and right hip were screaming at mile 100 (which was weird and I would think new bike fit, but we did much harder and longer rides than that 100 miles in DR training so who knows.). We are leaving for a week long backpacking trip tomorrow and I did not want to kill my legs for some foolish double I am unprepared for, so I told my friend who I was helping get her triple crown (that ride was her third) to go ahead, and then met her after SHE did that lovely Bay Hill/Coleman loop and pulled her the last 50 miles. She got her TC and I had a good day on the bike and saw a LOT of friends.

MP - the Jens Voigt of TE! It's too bad drafting is not allowed on tris.

We picked a fight with every &^#(@ hill in our county yesterday and today. 25 mi yesterday, 20 mi today, 3.000 feet of climbing. My heart says "yay me", my back says "you stink".

"I never made "Who's Who"- but sure as hell I made "What's That??..."
Yesterday I did 55.5 miles in 4:30. That is the furthest I've yet ridden, and in the first half of that there were several very steep hills. Short, but hard to see how much steeper they could have been.
Am trying not to stress over my speed. I am slowly getting faster and right now endurance and finding/unleashing my inner hill-climbing beast seems more important.
Today have no route planned - I need a recovery ride so am just going to go wherever my bike wants to go![]()
I feel successful I completed the "copper triangle" 78 miles. woohoo
