Your Aegis is so gorgeous!!! I'm glad you hated them all!
I wouldn't get rid of that Aegis for anything.
Now a new Madone... that's another story.![]()

I've got a milestone birthday coming up in March and stated that I want a new bike. I went shopping today and tried 4 tri bikes (Trek Equinox 9.0, Trek Equinox 9.5, Felt B16, Blue Triad SP) and decided I like my bike the best! I hated the shifting on all of the new bikes (too stiff) and I'm just more comfortable on my 2004 Aegis T2. I certainly never see another like mine anywhere, and in my book that's a plus.
I did, however, also look at road bikes and there may be a Madone 5.2 in my future![]()
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...

Check out my running blog: www.turtlepacing.blogspot.com
Cervelo P2C (tri bike)
Bianchi Eros (commuter/touring road bike)
1983 Motobecane mixte (commuter/errand bike)
Cannondale F5 mountain bike
Or maybe a Specialized Tarmac or Amira. It's sorta stupid but I'm not lovin' the paint available on the Madones. The Amira Expert, swoon! Unfortunately, nobody stocks them but they can order it for me. It was suggested that I try a Ruby for fit.

I love your Aegis! Beautiful!
And yes, big fat SWOON on that Amira! Wow - I LOVE the paint job on that one!
I hope you get whatever it is you love and that it loves you right back.![]()

I'd hang on to it too. It's nice to try other bikes and then come back home to the one you love (is that a country song?). You erased all doubt! Sweet bike.

Something strange: all bikes I tried, except one, was a combination of white, red, and black (the only one that wasn't was a WSD that was white and mint green; yuck). The paint just left me blah. I'm being picked on now because I would consider the Amira because I love its paint, but if all these bikes cost the same but the I find the Amira beautiful and the others blah, then it seems stupid to me to get anything other than the Amira. Of course, the rub right now is that the Amira is the only one I haven't been able to ride.
